Alice Dan Zhang - Sunnyvale, California-Area Early Childhood Teacher

Alice Dan Zhang is a former accountant who began working as an early childhood educator in 2017 after completing the early child development program at Sunnyvale, California's Foothill College. Upon graduating from the college’s Sunnyvale campus with a 4.0 GPA, Alice Zhang was hired by Palo Alto's OFJCC Leslie Family Preschool, a play-based, Reggio Emilia inspired preschool with an emphasis on Jewish values.

Prior to shifting her career focus, Ms. Zhang worked 12 years in a variety of positions for an audit service firm for which she was tasked with managing multinational public company audits and assisting engagement teams with complex technical accounting services. She was one of the firm's top performers from 2009 to 2016.

In addition to earning a California Child Development permit, Ms. Zhang holds a master’s degree from Pepperdine University. She also holds a bachelor's degree in French and English from Shanghai International Business University. She is a Chinese native, and fluent in English and French and worked as an interpreter and translator while pursuing her undergraduate degree. She also has experience teaching Mandarin to French children.
